Synopsis:
The famous Stephen King's horror novel, Carrie, published in 1974,
provoked so much speculation and controversy that three years later it was
taken to the movies by Brian de Palma. Now, the indie filmmaker Kimberly Peirce
(Boys Do not Cry) directs this new adaptation of the novel, which returns to
bear the name of the protagonist.
The film revolves around Carrie, a teenager with a peculiar personality.
In the institute, his classmates give him sideways, causing him to distrust
himself. But Carrie is not aware of the capacity of her telekinetic powers
until her psychotic mother and her sadistic classmates go too far.
